Weather-interpretation
In this chaw, owls that are chosen are great fliers, as it requires great skill. They can face any bad weather - hurricanes, rain, fog, you name it. The chaw leader always tries to enforce the rule of eating food not cooked by those who prepare food at the tree. They have strong wings and strong gizzards. Their objective of facing such bad weather is to collect information for the tree so that owls can avoid it, as the chaw can determine it's size or direction.

Colliering
It is the chaw that has the ability to fly into forest fires and collect coals and embers for the Great Tree's blacksmith. These coals embers can also be used in combat if utilised correctly. The owls of this chaw are also required to be double-tapped into the Weather Interpretation chaw also, so that they can handle flying in bad conditions. Forest fires are notorious for the difficult air conditions brought about by the smoke. It can cause a owl to fly uncontrollably if he has no skills. The embers and coals can either be picked up (if the ground isn't too dangerous) or caught whilst flying in a metal bucket.

Navigation
This chaw requires owls to have a interest in the world they live in, as well as the stars above them. They will be taught the constellations and how to navigate around using them. Though there are basics skills required, the owls in this chaw only have to be able to fly for long amounts of time, rarely facing anything more than rain or mist.
Ryb: Pyry
Ga'Hoology
Although seen as the most boring, this chaw can be one of the most vital as it teaches all about the history of the Great Tree, the Guardians, and all of the battles they ever faced. The ryb knows a great deal about all of these topics and more, and is very wise. Most of their time spent in the library or around the tree, these owls are fascinated by their home. They know everything from the fruit that grows on the tree to the Battle of the Ice Claws.

Tracking
Built for ground-work, these owls should have stronger legs than wings. They investigate on the ground almost exclusivley. They work closely with the search-and-rescue chaw, almost always going out on expeditions together. In a proper outing, if a owl is lost or something suspicious is happening and needs to be investigated, usually one member of this chaw and the SAR chaw are sent out together, along with a navigational owl. All of these owls are inquisitive and energetic.

Search and Rescue
As stated before, these owls are first on the scene of anything suspicious, or when sent out to look for something. They work very closely with the tracking chaw, but instead of investigating on land, they are usually up in the air following their companion with keen eyesight. They should be very good at fighting and are taught it by a separate ryb. These are usually much bigger owls than trackers, able to fly for longer, often when circling an area or when fighting an aerial battle. They have strong gizzards, but are known for ditching logical thinking before fighting.
Ryb: Leonidas
Battle
When searching for owls, you need to be prepared to fight off any thread to the victim. Whether this means infiltrating an enemy base or simply a skirmish over a forest, they are well equipped. They spend most of their lessons sparring with each other, practising manoeuvres taught by their ryb. although not given proper metal battle claws and armour until they are made full guardians like any other chaw, when out on a real outing, they are given light equipment just in case. In class, they have mock armour just to get used to it.
