Perched in a tree is a small bird, about as big as a sparrow, but with a really fat head. It's gaze is tilted towards the sky. Seizing your chance at a meal, you dive down, then here a loud, and rather angry squawk. You look between your claws to see a very annoyed owl; tiny, brown feathers and wings with bright, angry yellow eyes. She hisses at you, and scrambles out. You hurry your apologies, and she huffs, flitting back up to her perch. You note the armour she has on, and ask her who she is. "I am Elhana, ryb of the weather interpretors, and member of the Guardians. I'm definately not your food. I am a Little Owl, and probably the smallest owl in the whole of the Guardians." she huffs angrily as you watch her, intrigued with her every movement. She watches the sky with both eyes following a cloud. You hear her murmur something about rain on it's way. It is only a moment before you feel a droplet land onto your face. She's good, you think. All you hear is the hooting of a group of owls, shouting at each other that they found someone. You're too cold to move; every fibre of your being hurts. You hear nothing; you're numb with the cold, until someone lands beside you in a clumsy whoomph! "Yipes!" it is a feminine voice, with sweet, kind tones like the best mouse you've ever tasted. She wipes away the snow, and smiles, her pretty eyes sparkling with the reflective light of the snow. "We got another one!" she shouts it loudly, and you cringe slightly. "I'm Sindari, a guardian. You're pretty cold, huh?" she coos at you. You coo back. "Well, I better be off. Other owls to find and such. You're not a Tyto, so you can be afraid, but at least you won't be kidnapped by them and forced into their ranks like a dog. It has happened to many a Tyto owl, and you wonder if it happened to the Sougmanei before you. She looks nervous, afraid, though you can't see her eyes; they're closed. You wonder why, and then, she notices you. "AH!" she shouts, jumping backwards. You wonder if she's eyeing you, but again, no eyes. Her feathers are bright and red, and you wonder why there are not more beautiful owls like her. She raises her feathers at you and hisses, rather loudly. "Oh, you're not a remnant." she says it quietly, like she truly is afraid of the Tyto clan. "My name is Lannaera, Tyto Sougmanei of the guardians," when she says it, she looks around with a nervous face, then turns. "You're not a guardian, so i can tell you. I'm, um... a trained turnfeaher. Not a job I enjoy, I assure you." she huffs loudly, then a hoot is heard. She becomes frightened. "I've got to go. Goodbye, stranger." she swoops open her wings and disppaers into the night.
