Name: Elke
Type of Owl: Great Horned
Classification: Bubo virginianus
Gender: Female
Age: Young, only recently became fully fledged
Allegiance: Guardian
Rank: Trainee
Chaw: Blacksmith
Mate: None
Short sentence: Small, with large, wide ear tufts
Picture: Sorry, none
Detailed description: Elke is a surprisingly small Great Horned Owl. Her ear tufts are large for her age, as they usually grow in much slower than hers did. She has darker yellow eyes, looking amber or gold in low light. She has dark reddish-brownish feathers around her eyes, and dark brown-black ear tufts and wings. Her tail feathers are brown and white barred. Her underbelly, as is common in Great Horns, is white-gray with darker and white bars.
Personality:Elke is brave and reckless. She is always eager and bright. She doesn't really trust easily, but once you gain her trust, it'll take a lot to lose it. She loves looking at forest fires, and feeling their heat, but is careful to not watch for too long, knowing it could make her go yeep.
History: Elke was born in the Beaks. Her parents died when she was young, and she had no siblings. A friend of her Da's left his mate to take care of her for a few days, and he went to take the news to her Uncle in the Desert of Kuneer. Her Uncle came back with him and brought her to his home in the desert. She was raised by him, and has few memories of her parents. However, recently, when she learned to fly, hearing of the Remnants, her Uncle sent her to seek the safety of the Guardians.
Roleplay Example: Not really my best, and about someone else, but oh well..
Blayne perched on the cactus and spread her wings. She examined them closely. He flight feathers were growing in nicely. She turned to her uncle. "Unk?" She hooted. He nodded approvingly. "Yes, I think you're ready to try flying." He said. She hooted with excitement. After weeks of hopping from cactus to cactus,("cactusing", the equivalent of branching, as her uncle said) she could finally fly! He stepped up beside her. "Alright then. Jump a little ways out, spread your wings out..." She listened intently while he explained little details and basic maneuvers.
